FTTH Fiber Optic Adapter LC Quad Double Deck 2 Port Sm 2 Core Upc Om3 Om4 Fiber Optic Adapter for Network Adapter

Description:

Fiber optic adapter are used in fiber optic connection, the typical use is to provide a cable to cable fiber connection.

Adapters are designed for multimode or singlemode cables. The singlemode adapters offer more precise alignment of the tips of the connectors (ferrules). It is ok to use singlemode adapters to connect multimode cables, but you should not use multimode adapters to connect singlemode cables. This can cause misalignment of the small singlemode fibers and loss of signal strength (attenuation).

LC fiber optic adaptors are all plastic housing; there are simplex LC adaptors and duplex LC adaptors, usually duplex LC fiber adaptors are with SC footprint. The LC fiber adaptors colors are same as SC fiber optic adaptors: blue for single mode PC, beige for multi mode PC and green for single mode APC. LC fiber optic adaptors are with bronze sleeve for multimode and zirconia sleeve for single mode.
